Part-time Swimming Coach

Playford Aquatic Club

Location: Playford Aquadome, Elizabeth, SA
Employment Type: Part-time (Minimum 7 sessions per week, including Saturday mornings, plus competition attendance)
Start Date: Negotiable

Remuneration: T.B.A

Playford Aquatic Club (PAC) is a competitive swimming club based in the northern Adelaide suburb of Elizabeth. We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Coach to join our coaching team.

Working closely with the PAC Management Committee, the successful candidate will contribute across the club’s squad structure and play an active role in swimmer development, helping athletes grow in confidence, skill, and performance. To be a successful coach with PAC you should be empathetic, patient, and understand that swimmers have varying abilities.

The coaching role involves:

  • Prepare and deliver training sessions
  • Prepare and implement seasonal plans.
  • Analyse swim techniques and determine skill levels,
  • Developing individualized swimming programs if required
  • Assist with recruiting new talent
  • Prepare swimmers for competition, season by season.
  • Maintain records of training sessions to evaluate and monitor progress,
  • Assist swimmers with setting season-by-season training goals.

About You:

You are a coach who is passionate about fostering young talent and committed to progressing within the coaching pathway. You bring energy, enthusiasm, and a team-first approach that reflects the values of PAC.

 Essential Requirements:

  • Current Development Coaching Accreditation (or higher)
  • Proven commitment to swimmer development and team culture
  • Strong, clear communication skills (written and verbal) with committee members, swimmers, and families
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Valid Working with Children Check (SA)
  • Australian residency or citizenship
